Broomfield Hall College – Sunday 10 and Sunday 17 December

December weather has not been favourable for ringing. We had to cancel our visit on 3 Dec because of the snow. We did get there on 10 Dec but had a very watchful eye on the sky for the heavy rain that was forecasted to arrive. It did arrive about 1100 just as we had taken down early having seen the darkening skies. We were again affected by the weather on 17 Dec, this time it was the wind not rain that made us finish early. We had catches of 44 and 35 individuals, nothing new for the site and made up the expected species, but nice to get 12 Redwing on the 10th and another 20 on the 17th. It was nice to welcome Kate More from Loughborough to our team on the 17th. There were Ravens around each weekend with 4 there on the 10th. Kev
