Brack, Easter Sunday

Andrew, Tina and I started off quite well but the cold wind increased and was ripping through the feeding station by 11:00am so we finished on 9 new and 3 retraps (mostly Yellowhammer and Tree Sparrow). Strange because at the ringing base it was calm and pleasantly warm. One retrap female Yellowhammer was a known adult and several good features can be seen in the pictures below.
Another had only one leg! It was an old injury and the bird was lively and a good weight but we didn't ring it.
